A curated rotation of Artists representing our local and extended creative community will perform live painting at the Richmond County Fair in Staten Island, NY.  Each Artist will be responsible for completing a wood panel of a predetermined size (see sizing) using an agreed-upon medium in the time allotted.

The completed panels will be used in the onsite construction of a Barn.

Act 2 – Adventure

September 2 – Summer 2020

“Barnstorming” – To travel from place to place making brief stops, often for theatrical performances.

The Barn structure will be disassembled and transported for the sake of touring cultural sites and events around the borough, city, state, and country, representing Staten Island and it’s cultural community.

Act 3 : Sacrifice / Finale

Summer 2020

“BarnRazing” – Homonym, meant to denote the complete annihilation of the structure.

To ensure that only one objet d’art exists at any given time, the barn structure will be burned before the 2020 Richmond County Fair, under the supervision of professionals, with the proceeds going to a designated charity and the seed funding for the next round of BarnBurning.
