A guided meditation in our Infinite Compassion Gallery with Michael O’Connell. Michael is a certified Yoga teacher, meditation enthusiast and woodworker. He has gone on extensive meditation retreats throughout the US and studies Buddhist philosophy. Dress comfortable. Walk-ins welcome.

Bird and Nature Walk: William T. Davis’ Birthday Walk

Moses Mountain, High Rock Park, 200 Nevada Avenue Learn about naturalist and Museum founder William T. Davis and his contributions to Staten Island natural history as we walk through High Rock Park up to the top of Mt. Moses, where the expanse of sky is perfect for viewing migrating hawks and other raptors. Possibilities include: red-tailed, Cooper’s, and sharp-shinned hawks, turkey and black vultures, and maybe even a bald eagle.
