NYCDOT invites interested non-profit organizations to propose activations for its public space programs, including Weekend Walks, Seasonal Streets, and Pedestrian Plazas!

The request for proposals seeks to create a list of non-profit organizations that can provide unique, interactive activations to enhance NYCDOT’s public spaces and events in partnership with local community-based partners. While funding is not guaranteed, selected organizations are eligible to receive up to $20,000 and may be called upon and funded to provide activations throughout the City over a two year period. All types of non-profit providers are encouraged to respond.

Activations can include performances, dance classes, bike education, fitness demonstrations and classes, healthy eating and lifestyle demonstrations, arts and crafts workshops, literacy promotion, educational experiences, and more. All proposed activations must be suitable for outdoor public spaces and events, free of charge to the public, and accessible to all New Yorkers.
