lenape june 2016 conf house

The Lenape Gallery at the Conference House Park Visitor Center will open a unique exhibition, featuring artist Randi Ehrhart on June 30, through August 13, 2016. Regeneration is a three dimensional installation featuring hundreds of entomology based miniature sculpted works, constructed from dead branches, dried leaves and other barren, hollow, empty and vacant organic material found primarily in the Northeast, United States.

Wishing to hint at a transcendent supra reality… I utilize dead (detritus) botanicals as they suggest to me their new incarnation by their shapes and forms. Nature reveals the connections.

I reconfigure and breathe new life by re-sculpting nature back onto itself. I employ nature as the analogy because nature’s seasons are cyclical and a continuum. Randi Ehrhart

A widow, mother of three grown sons and a recent grandmother, Ehrhart has dedicated her life and work by establishing herself as a conduit connecting nature and art in a fresh new light.
