Calling all poets, rappers, writers, and anyone looking to express themselves through words. Blank Canvas, Spoken Word Trilogy, is a three-part workshop where we will be providing tools and activities to get you writing and sharing. The event is donation-based, no previous experience is needed, simply come with a blank page or a poem you wish to work on. There will be an open mic at the end if you desire to share.

Island Voice & Canvas Institute is excited to announce our first partnership with The Public Theater. The Public Theater’s mobile unit is bringing Shakespeare to Staten Island. The show will be held at PS 57 Hubert H Humphrey (140 Palma Dr.) on Saturday, October 13th from 2-4pm. All ages welcome. Snacks will be provided after the show (you may also bring your own).
