The 3rd Annual African Arts & Cultural Festival (AFRICANFEST-NYC) will take place at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School – 285 Clove Road (Corner of Clove & Castleton Avenue), Staten Island, New York 10310. The outdoor festival will begin at 12:00 pm on Saturday, August 17th, 2019; and end at 7:00 pm, on Sunday, August 18th, 2019.

AFRICANFEST-NYC showcases visual and performing arts, as well as the culture of people of African descent. Artists who participate in the festival are Diasporas from Nigeria, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Sudan, Gambia, Zambia, Togo, Congo, Uganda, Somalia, Eritrean, Ethiopia, Burundi, Sierra Leone, the Caribbean, and African Nova Scotian Community. Their artistic works include visual arts, drumming, jazz, hip-hop, gospel, spoken-word and more.
