All ages are welcome to stay up late and celebrate National Moth Week! Featured activities include face painting, Museum moth specimens, shadow dancing, art activities, and a night hike through Snug Harbor. Presented in collaboration with the Staten Island Children’s Museum.

Why did medieval artists use gold for the backgrounds of altarpieces? Why was gold almost universally used to embellish holy images around the world? How did they make these images? The Gold-Ground workshop with Robert Bunkin will answer these and other questions and give you first-hand experience with the materials and processes of making your own gold-ground artwork. No prior experience is necessary! All materials provided. For guests 21 +. Admission includes 2 drink tickets.
