“Musicians, dancers, poets and writers are often inspired by their environment: performing, practicing or quietly taking in data on a spiritual, aesthetic and intellectual level. Painting the outdoors, celebrating a connection to the natural world is a clear tradition and response by visual artists. Recognition is immediate and easily comprehensible. Some artists work in mediums that require a more cerebral or visceral transposition, whether it be through sound patterns, body movement or arrangement of words and language.”

“I bring several dialogues to canvas by including the images of artists equally inspired whose crafts are more abstractly influenced. The touch points for the viewers and community are a nod to the significance of conservation and land preservation for all strata of the society.” Sarah Yuster
