ARTS

This weekend: Experience FIGMENT, a free interactive-art festival. Throughout campus on June 4 – 5, visitors are encouraged to interact with the participatory art projects provided by creative members of our community. All FIGMENT art projects require input or participation from our visitors.

Party with us on June 4 as part of this year’s FIGMENT! We’ll be out on the lawn at Shinbone Alley kicking the night away with cool vibes and performances by DJ Mike Diexverse and music artist Honeychild Coleman. Experience Queer Van Kult: Revelation at the Newhouse Center, a liturgy of performance, installation, and music with a focus on queer artistry and multimedia work.
Register here.

On June 18, join us for a screening of True Love Forever, a film series written and directed by Zoe Alice with a performance from the film’s star, God Complex.

Now on view at the Newhouse Center for Contemporary Art: Queer Van Kult: Revelation
This exciting new art exhibition transforms the Main Hall Gallery into a fully immersive dreamscape that subverts the societal narrative in which to be queer is to be “othered.” Upon entrance, Revelation invites visitors to be “unborn” from these societal expectations and enter a world where queerness is a preexisting condition.
