New York City kids are out of school, and NYC Parks has plenty of fun activities to keep them busy. Join us for FREE “Kids Week” programming across the five boroughs with indoor and outdoor events lead by our Urban Park Rangers.

“School is out and our rangers are ready to bring the fun,” said NYC Parks Commissioner Mitchell J. Silver, FAICP. “We think of our parks as nature’s classroom. We have activities planned every day of winter break in every borough, so New York City’s kids can stay active, explore the outdoors and keep learning.”

Rangers will kick off the week by demonstrating a sampling of Kids Week activities—including shelter building, knot tying and orienteering—at Salt Marsh Nature Center in Marine Park on Monday, February 19 at 11 a.m. The demonstration will be broadcast live on NYC Parks’ Facebook page.
