Tuesday, April 26: Animal Homes
It’s a bird, it’s a tree, it’s a squirrel! Investigate animals and plants in their Snug Harbor homes. Focus on birds, reptiles, amphibians, and mammals as you compare and contrast forest, wetland, and meadow habitats. Learn the differences between these mini-ecosystems and the adaptations plants and animals develop to be uniquely suited to their habitat.
Wednesday, April 27: Come Fly with Me
Time to emerge and let your imagination fly! Compare and contrast specimens and explore metamorphosis through video, creative drama, and art.

Thursday, April 28: Life’s A Beach
Feel the sand and envision an important local habitat – the beach! See, touch, and discuss specimens native to Staten Island beaches.
Friday, April 29: Arbor Day Nature Trek
Did you know that billions of organisms can live in a drop of pond water? Become environmental researchers as you hike through Snug Harbor and test water found in and around the campus. Local pollution, our delicate water supply, and the food chain will be discussed. Join an Arbor Day Planting near our building.
