MakerSpace is so happy to announce that we received the $50,000 Futureworks grant from the NYCEDC! With this grant we will be getting some new equipment for advanced manufacturing, so stay tuned to see what else we can now offer!

Introduction to T-Shirt Printing

Learn to print your own t-shirts in this fun and creative 4-week course. You’ll get hands-on experience with the full-screen printing process, including preparing your artwork, coating and exposing your screen, working with ink, reclaiming your screen for reuse, and of course, printing your designs onto t-shirts.

Stick Welding
Introduction to Welding encompasses a basic educational foundation in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) more commonly known as “Stick Welding”. Attendees learn and exercise essential safety metallurgy standards using a combination of classroom theory and hands-on metal fabrication techniques. Other topics covered include welding safety, proper protective equipment, flat welding, and tack welding.

Women, Welding, and Wine!        Displaying

Yes, you have been waiting for it. Now is your chance to channel your inner Flashdance. We are pleased to partner with the fabulous Lorie Honor of Honor Wines to offer this unusual pairing. This four-week workshop will focus on steel MIG welding, but students will get an overview of a variety of metal fabrication tools, materials, and techniques. By the end of the class, you will have a good grasp of the welding process and you will make your very own wine rack.
