New York City’s premier outdoor food fest includes an expanded assortment of cuisines and delights, including two hospitality tents staffed by the board of directors, two outdoor tents for cooking demonstrations by prominent chefs, the return of Cheese School, a beer terrace, and homemade ice cream at Egger’s Parlor in the Park.

Founders Award

Pamela Silvestri, the food editor at the Staten Island Advance and a curator of all things delicious on Staten Island, will be awarded Historic Richmond Town’s “Founder’s Award.” The Uncorked! festival was her dream and ultimate creation as it was established 10 years ago.

Acclaimed Cooking Presentations
Guests will see the borough’s top chefs from prominent restaurants transform beloved recipes into a mouth-watering meal during tented TV-style demonstrations throughout the day.

Demonstrations include:
• Max Calicchio, Chef and Owner of Max’s Es-Ca.
• Julian Gaxholli, Owner of Bayou, Beso, and Blue
• Franco Ortega, Chef and Owner of Casa Franco and Italianissimo
• Rob DeLuca, Owner of DeLuca’s

Return of Cheese School
Executive Chef David Cavagnaro returns to the Third County Courthouse with his signature presentation and crowd favorite, Cheese School. This triumphant return to Uncorked! pairs select wine with gourmet cheese and artisanal chocolates to delight the palette.

Award-winning competition 
Participating restaurants are putting on a show for the senses, competing for top honors in “Best Dish”, “Best Dessert” and “Best Table Display” categories.

Professional judges include Liam Dertinger, Chopped Junior Chef Champion; and Marianne and Steve Piazza.

People’s Choice awards are text-to-win, so bring your phone and your appetite to vote for your favorites!

Historic Trades and Buildings
The village is open! Visit landmark structures, the Artisans of the Historic Trades, and sample old-world recipes!
• Stephens-Black House: Sample syllabub, an Old English Madeira dessert (non-alcoholic version available)
• Carpenter Shop: Live demo of wooden wares for farm life
• Tinsmith Shop: Live demo of tin wares for kitchens
• Blacksmith: Live demo of preparing kitchen wares for colonial cooks
• Childrens’ Scavenger Hunt through the Museum and General Store for food preparation items of the 1800s

With each ticket, guests receive a Historic Richmond Town wine glass or souvenir cup, two glasses of wine or lemonade, and food and beverage samplings from participating establishments. Additional beverages and food available for purchase. Food preparation demonstrations and Cheese School are extremely popular with limited seats available.
