The Feast’s (always) free entertainment starts every day at 7:30 p.m. A highlight of the society’s annual festival is a procession from the shrine through the streets of Rosebank. The festival is held at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Grotto, a hidden gem at 36 Amity Street behind St. Joseph’s R.C. Church. The grotto was built in 1937 by members of the society, which was comprised primarily of Italian immigrant laborers who worked on the shrine in their spare time.

In 2001, the grotto was placed on both the New York and National Registers of Historic Places. The society was established in Rosebank in 1903 and has held festivals ever since.

les and pray at the shrine which is open 24/7 every day of the year. A special mass takes place at noon Sunday, at the Church of St. Joseph on Tompkins Avenue.
