DSNY Holiday Calendar- NYC Garbage Schedule 2022
New York City Department of Sanitation (DSNY) suspends operations on Monday, June 20, 2022, in observance of Juneteenth.
The federal holiday commemorates the emancipation of Black slaves in the United States and falls on Sunday, June 19, 2022.
Staten Islanders who regularly receive trash collection on Monday can put their material at the curb between 4 p.m. and midnight Monday evening, the department said in a release, noting there will be some collection days due to the holiday.
All DSNY administrative offices will also be closed on Monday, June 20, according to the agency.
