These unique tours, led by expert historical interpreters, take you through the darkened streets and historic buildings of the village, sharing chilling tales of Staten Islanders’ lives and mysterious deaths. Delve into the infamous trials at the 3rd County Courthouse, and hear firsthand accounts of eerie, unexplained encounters experienced by the interpreters themselves. This one-hour walking tour offers an exclusive after-hours look into some of the borough’s most storied structures.
Tour Dates & Times:
Tours are offered on the following dates at 7:00 PM and 8:30 PM:

- Saturday, October 5
- Friday, October 11
- Saturday, October 12
- Friday, October 18
- Friday, October 25
Note: Each tour accommodates up to 18 people, so be sure to secure your spot early!
Know Before You Go:
- Formerly known as ‘Mystery After Dark’, this is an interpretive storytelling program, not a paranormal ghost-hunting experience.
- Check-in begins at the Third County Courthouse and Visitor Center at 441 Clarke Avenue. You will then be directed to the Historical Museum where the tour begins.
- Suitable for ages 8 and older. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
- The tours are weather permitting and run rain or shine, except in severe conditions.
- Pets are not permitted on the tours.
