For the last 29 years, New York Cares has organized the city’s largest winter coat drive gathering over 1.8 million winter coats. Just last year, with the help of caring New Yorkers, we collected and distributed 109,000 winter coats to families who would have otherwise faced a long cold winter without one. This year, our goal is to collect 125,000 winter coats, and with your support, we know we can do it. Our city is depending on you to provide warmth to your neighbors in need.

Each year, hundreds of New Yorkers harness the generosity of their friends, family, and coworkers and start their own coat collection. All it takes is a poster and a box prominently placed at your office, church, or apartment building to help make sure someone’s winter is a little bit warmer. Register today!
