Radio Campfire is a new series of listening events devoted to memorable radio documentaries, soundscapes, and experimental sonic shorts. Think relaxed, magical and intimate, like the campfire (minus the burnt marshmallows.)

This program is part of a larger series created and hosted by a group of radio producers and audio artists in Southeast Michigan.

Gather round as we listen to stories and sounds on the theme of “wilderness” with audio artist and Radio Campfire founder Juliet Hinely.

The event takes place on Thursday, August 2nd, from 7-9pm as part of the Museum’s Summer Nights series.

Radio Campfire is a live listening event series of creative audio stories of all kinds, curated and presented by a collective of audio producers in Detroit, Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor, Michigan.

It’s like going to the movies, but for your ears. We gather together, dim the lights, and enjoy an evening of memorable radio documentaries, soundscapes and experimental sonic shorts.
