The 40th Annual Richmond County Fair @ Historic Richmond Town
Aug 31 @ 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm
As Staten Island’s only County Fair, the grounds of Historic Richmond Town will host one of the biggest, longest-running and well-attended festivals in the county – all while supporting local businesses and authentic Staten Island staples!
WHAT IS THERE TO DO?
The Richmond County Fair combines classic fairground favorites, such as carnival rides, games of chance and delicious fair food with a 3-Day, 3-Stage music festival. Over 100 vendors will line the streets selling anything from antique cameras to airbrush t-shirts. Games and contests take place throughout the weekend, challenging kids and adults alike to three-legged races, and pie-eating! Additional offerings include pony rides, obstacle courses, historic trades demonstrations, bouncy houses and more!
WHAT’S NEW THIS YEAR?
This year, as we celebrate its 40th anniversary, we will be expanding our offerings to reflect Staten Island’s rich and diverse culture. We will be featuring favorite local eating establishments such as Corner House BBQ and Flagship Brewery. Makerpark Radio and We Just Workin’ will be hosting their own music stages. A section of the fair will be deemed the “Staten Island Culture Crawl” and will feature local cultural institutions, artists, musicians, live art demonstrations, graffiti art and more! Also in an effort of inclusivity, we’ve significantly lowered the admission price. We are inviting all of Staten Island to take part in a geographical celebration that authentically represents the island we all know and love.

Sunrise Tai Chi @ H.H. Biddle House (in Conference House Park)
Sep 2 @ 8:00 am – 9:00 am
Tai Chi focuses the mind while training the body — meditation through movement. Once learned, it can be maintained easily as a healthy life-long practice, easily adapted to your abilities and/or limitations. Due to continuous movements, especially shifting body weight from one leg to another, Tai Chi delivers countless benefits, including increased strength, conditioning, balance, coordination, flexibility, stamina, range of motion, bone density, joint lubrication, mind/body connection; and more confidence, peace of mind thru-out the day, improved sleep at night. Note that this is the oldest original Chen-Style Tai Chi, taught by traditional instruction, where each student learns at their own pace and builds up their knowledge bit-by-bit.
